Role Summary
We are building the world's first Creator Casino: a creator-powered gaming network, operated by and for creators, where creators launch their own experiences, run drops and missions, and monetize original games, powered by an AI layer and programmable incentives designed for high-frequency sessions and measurable creator performance.
We believe the next great casino game mechanic won't come from a studio, it will be invented by a creator on this platform. Building the engines and game logic that make that possible, safely and at scale, is the most exciting part of this role, and the single biggest reason it exists.
We're not hiring a game developer in the traditional sense, and we're not hiring another AI engineer, we already have that covered. You'll build important mechanics yourself, then generalise them into reusable engines the AI can safely vary and extend. You stay hands-on. What you build becomes part of how StackStudio makes games, not just one more game in the catalog.
Ideal Skills
The ideal candidate sits at the intersection of real game-engine knowledge and an AI-native way of working, someone who can build genuine casino-game logic and also move at AI speed. That combination is genuinely rare in this industry, so we're evaluating candidates from both directions at once. A strong engineer with deep game-domain experience who is clearly ready to work AI-first is just as compelling as someone already excellent with AI who is willing to build real game-domain depth quickly. We're not assuming the perfect hybrid exists on day one; we're looking for whichever strong version of this person we actually find.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build real game mechanics and engines yourself, including deterministic round resolution and provably-fair logic.
Generalise proven mechanics into configurable, reusable engines that StackStudio's AI can instantiate and adapt.
Define what the AI may vary within an engine, what must stay fixed, and where human review is required.
Extend the templates and rules the generation pipeline works from, so it can reliably produce more mechanics over time.
Review AI-generated game logic, catch what automated checks miss, and feed edge cases back into the system.
AI-Native Workflow
This isn't an AI engineering role, but AI is how you'll work. You'll use it to understand unfamiliar codebases quickly, prototype mechanics, generate and extend tests, debug tricky behaviour, and research unfamiliar problems. What matters is evidence you can figure things out and deliver with AI as your main tool, not prior experience with a specific product.
What We're Looking For
Real, hands-on understanding of how real-money RNG mechanics work as software: deterministic resolution, payout logic, provable fairness.
A track record of building actual game logic yourself, not just specifying or reviewing it.
Able to generalise a specific mechanic into something configurable and reusable.
Genuine AI-native problem solving, with real examples to show for it.
Comfortable with significant ownership on a small, fast-moving team.
Strong JavaScript fundamentals, comfortable close to the runtime.
Experience building systems that generate variants from a shared template, in games or elsewhere.
Nice to Have
Experience building slot, casino or other real-money RNG mechanics at a games studio.
Familiarity with provably-fair systems or sandboxed code execution.
The generation/AI layer this role coordinates with is written in Python, but a candidate comfortable reading and working in Python will move faster
Location & Working Style
Full-time remote role. Works closely with the Mathematician, Product, and the AI and platform engineering teams on a small, AI-native team with high ownership and light structure.
